The Yoga Journey: Nurturing Body & Soul
Led by experienced instructor Jordane Carrère-Pangaud, your yoga journey at the retreat is designed to be a holistic experience that harmonizes body, breath, and spirit. Drawing from her Tahitian roots and extensive training in Iyengar Yoga, Jordane guides practices that are both invigorating and deeply restorative, fostering a profound connection to the natural world within and around you.
Mindful Alignment
Trained for many years under the guidance of Suzi Carson in Auckland, Jordane continues her Iyengar journey while teaching in her studio in Tahiti. Her teaching emphasizes the therapeutical dimension of yoga—precision, alignment, and the mindful use of props. With this approach, each posture becomes an opportunity to unlock hidden areas of the body and emotions, cultivating strength, flexibility, and deep self-awareness.
Balanced Flow
Classes are crafted to blend energizing sequences with calming, restorative practices. Whether you are awakening your body or unwinding your mind, each session offers a balanced pathway to well-being.
Inner Harmony
Beyond the physical, this yoga journey encourages mindfulness and introspection. Cultivate inner peace, reduce stress, and foster a sense of harmony that extends far beyond your mat.
The Art of Adjustment in Iyengar Yoga
In Iyengar Yoga, adjustment is an art. It is not about correcting, but about guiding students toward deeper awareness of their own body. Through subtle, precise adjustments, Jordane helps students explore alignment, balance, and expansion.
Take Chatushpadasana with a chair : adjusting the shoulders creates space between the shoulder blades, opens the chest, and frees the breath. The pelvis remains aligned, with active retroversion preventing the ribs from thrusting forward. The opening begins beneath the armpits, spreads across the intercostal spaces, and expands the ribcage without compressing the lower back.
Here, an adjustment is never just physical — it is an invitation to experience the intelligence of the pose from within.
Surf & Yoga Synergy
Surfing and yoga are deeply connected — they both require presence, balance, breath, and flow. To support this unique combination, sessions are designed to complement time in the water :
  • Pre-surf practices are more dynamic, warming up the body, awakening the core, and preparing muscles and joints for movement and balance on the board.
  • Post-surf sessions are more restorative, soothing tired muscles, opening the shoulders and hips, and calming the nervous system after the ocean’s intensity.
Together, surfing and yoga create a rhythm that grounds the body, sharpens focus, and connects you to the natural elements with renewed energy and ease.
Surf Yoga Soul Tahiti
Jordane founded Surf Yoga Soul Tahiti, a project born from her passion for both the ocean and the practice of yoga. Since then, she has led multiple surf and yoga retreats, as well as well-being yoga gatherings across French Polynesia.
This retreat marks the first step into the international stage, with many more exciting projects to come. With years of experience, Jordane has cultivated an environment that is both nurturing and celebratory—a space of encounters, exchanges, and shared growth.

Whether you are a seasoned yogi or new to the practice, Jordane’s compassionate and adaptive teaching style ensures that everyone finds their rhythm. Her aim is to empower you to explore your capabilities, deepen your practice, and leave the retreat feeling rejuvenated, centered, and profoundly connected to yourself and the world.

Surf & Yoga Connection
Surfing and yoga are natural complements. Dynamic yoga sessions warm up and prepare your body for the demands of the ocean, while restorative practices help release tension and restore balance after time in the waves. Together, they create a unique rhythm that allows you to flow both on the board and on the mat—grounding your experience in balance, awareness, and joy.
